Atrium Musicae De Madrid/Gregorio Paniagua - La Spagna XV, XVI, And XVII Centuries - BIS EU 1980 1st press VG+/VG+

The recording immediately astonishes with its fluid, natural and utterly truthful sound thanks to the beautiful acoustic of the Chapel of the Imperial College in Madrid. The music features variations on three archetypal Spanish themes (La Spagna, a Spagnoletta and Pavane), as interpreted by different composers such as Praetorius, Negri, Des Prés, Ortiz and others, aided by impeccable playing of dozens of various musicians. The result is renaissance/baroque early unclassifiable music, lively, fun and eclectic. A few wear marks, nothing serious. With booklet attached inside gatefold.
