Los Jaivas - Hauteurs de Machu Picchu - Carrere FR 1981 1st press VG+/VG+

$112
Great leader of the andino rock scene, the Chilean Los Jaivas are mixing progressive rock and ancestral South American music. The group will be forced to leave Chile with the arrival of the dictatorship and will end up in France where they recorded a part of this record, inspired by the eponymous poem "Alturas de Macchu Picchu" by Pablo Neruda. Alongside instruments typical of western music (electric guitar, moog, electric piano...), the group also uses traditional wind instruments from the South American continent (kena, zampona, tarka, okarina...) and many percussions to create a mysterious and sidereal atmosphere. A real curiosity. Strong VG+ condition.
